Sur rendez-vous, le Champagne Leclerc Briant ouvre les portes de sa Maison nichée sur les hauteurs d'Epernay, pour des visites intimistes et singulières.
Le visiteur y découvrira l'histoire de la parcelle de vigne de la Croisette, cultivée en biodynamie depuis sa plantation, et dont est issue la cuvée du même nom, mais aussi les pressoirs, chais à barriques, cuveries et caves qui font la renommée de la Maison.

This champagne house was the biggest disappointment of our trip. They have two locations(with the exact same names) and we accidentally arrived at the wrong one. Instead of handling the situation with some flexibility, the staff immediately blamed us and told us to ‘check our tickets.’ The two locations are only a six-minute drive apart, so we wouldn’t have been significantly late if they had simply let us join the tour. We actually booked our uber on the spot to make our way there asap but they told us to cancel that. When we asked if we could join any of the later tours, we were told it was fully booked – though honestly, would two extra people have made such a difference? This lack of hospitality set the tone. Reluctantly, they offered us a tasting at the location we had come to, despite the fact we had paid €90 for a tour. What we got were four of the tiniest pours we experienced anywhere in Champagne, and worse, the wines were flat and stale (as you can see in the video). It was especially noticeable that many bottles were left uncorked on the counters without stoppers, which likely explained the poor quality of what we were served. To top it off, the waiter who served us made a point of repeating that the ‘correct address was on the tickets.’ The service throughout was curt, unkind, and at times just plain rude. Overall, this was the lowest point of our trip. With so many warm, authentic, and generous champagne houses in the region, I would strongly recommend skipping this one.

We had the best experience tasting multiple champagnes. Personally I'm interested in organic and biodynamic wines. The two gentleman were very English friendly and non-pretentious. They explained the different blends and where they originate from in the different areas of champagne. There are lots of options (oaked, unoaked, single parcel, cuvees, brut nature to brut, etc) He even gave a recommended tasting order. We were contemplating shipping and they checked multiple options for us. Indoors had AC which was perfect for the heat wave. Outdoors patio otherwise would be so lovely during cooler times. This is our 4th spot during our visit and one of my favs.
